Interest Based Heritage Travel

While Ties primarily focuses on group travel, there is an option for private travel or interest-based travel for adoptees and their loved ones.

The following programs are based on interest, so if you are an adoptee from any of the countries below, we would love to hear from you and discuss how we can support you in reconnecting with your roots.

Your journey is important to us, and we're here to facilitate meaningful connections and experiences no matter how you choose to travel to your birth country.

Bulgaria

Romania

Russia

Unfortunately, Russian-American relations continue to be challenging amidst the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. We look forward to days of peace, when Russian Ties adoptees & families can return to exploring beautiful Russia. We are continually re-evaluating the possibility of group travel and are hopeful for future Russian Ties programs.

Ukraine

Currently, it is not feasible to plan group trips to Ukraine due to safety concerns. Despite this, there remains hope and optimism for future opportunities to assist Ukrainian adoptees and their families in discovering the beauty and rich culture of Ukraine when conditions allow. Ties continuously evaluates the situation and anticipates a time when Ukraine Ties programs can be safely offered again.
